Since Cyrus' DNA is drastically different from our own he has a few natural innate abilities built into him.

Hyperthermophile: He can withstand temperatures of up to 176F (80C)
Oligotroph: He can withstand going without food for longer than the average human being. Cyrus can live without eating for around a month before it starts to affect his health.
Cryophile: The opposite of Hyperthermophiles, Cryophile DNA allows him to withstand temperatures around -15C.
Radioresistant: This extremophile DNA allows Cyrus to live in places with high levels of ionizing radiation. So a place like Chernobyl for example is easily accessible to him. He can live there and stay there for prolonged periods of time before he feels the effects of radiation poisoning.
Thermoacidophile: With this type of DNA Cyrus can withstand pH levels of up to 2 to 3. Something very acidic won't harm his skin.
Xerophile: This DNA allows him to live without water for prolonged periods of time. Usually up to three weeks before he starts feeling the effects of dehydration.

Also due his condition Cyrus has a robotic left leg, arm, and eye which help him throughout his daily life. His robotic eye and arm in particular grant him some offensive and defensive abilities.

Left Eye: Basically his left eye works in a variety of different ways. It can essentially see long distances, has multiple modes like infrared, night vision and x-ray capabilities. There's a databank he can tap into as well which pops up as a virtual screen in his left eye. The databank has a lot of info he can look up stuff with. Basically it's open to any and everything (barring 4th breaking permissions of course). He can find, input, and research things on the go from that. The chip which houses said program is directly in his eye so to update it he has to, you guessed it, take out his eyeball and input it manually. His eye can lock onto specific targets to make it easier to hit and focus on enemies as well.

Left Arm: His left arm is capable of lifting at least over 100 pounds more than his own weight, but that only stands true for his left arm and nothing else. Trying to make him hold that with his normal body parts will result in pancake Cyrus. He also can manipulate his arm into a gun to actually shoot bullets and energy blasts from it. The energy blasts are mainly just the power of souls that he's ingested in a compressed form. His arm can also morph into a sword like appendage.

Left Leg: Much like his left arm his leg can kick hard enough to dent and break down metal doors. He can also morph his leg to have projections on it to use as weaponry as well.

Cyrus' robotic arm and leg have ports within them to allow him to transfer soul's powers into his inorganic body parts. So he can shoot elemental blasts from the gun that his arm takes the form of. He basically can shoot bullets of fire, light, water, etc from the gun his left arm morphs into. While he mainly uses an air soul in his right leg to increase his speed. He can implement other souls into his leg as well.



What are souls?! Basically souls are the residual power/energy/feelings that Arx's influence can form and shape into something corporeal and able to be used by soulists. The more basic the idea (like elements, animals, and inanimate objects for example) the lower the soul is considered in terms of rarity. Souls that are comprised of human emotions, thoughts, and ideas are said to be very rare. Which is why souls that are based on actual human beings (for example Okita Souji's soul) are extremely potent and powerful and there is only one in existence. Souls that take human thoughts and ideas and are mildly rare but able to be found multiple times are things such as mythological creatures (however those with names are very rare and considered powerful souls. So Dracula is a rare soul but vampires is not) and inanimate objects.

Souls and their powers are based on the amount that have been ingested over the course of a soulist's lifetime. The more souls consumed of a particular type the more powerful and deadly their powers become. The levels are categorized as Level 5,10,15,20 and so forth. Soulists with levels over 20 or more are considered an A class soulist (40-50 being AA 50-100+ being AAA) while those of 20 and 15 are B classed and 10-5 would be C class soulists and rookies. Also those in possession of one of a kind souls have a distinction as well and depending on the level also boosts their class. Souls on levels 1-2 are commonly found things like the main elements. Souls levels 3-4 are atypical and often seen infrequently like mythologies such as vampires or demons. Level 5 souls are the highest and most prized of souls because they are one of a kind and not found anywhere else. Gods, mythological items, famous historical figures and events fall into this category. The Souji Okita soul is a SRAOD type otherwise called a Super Rare Afflictive Offensive Defensive type soul.

Most souls are also Offensive or Defensive typed. There's also souls that cause afflictions, which coined the category afflictive in which it affects the host that consumes it. For example The Okita soul gives Cyrus TB that is neither transferable to others nor can it be cured.

Fire: ◉◉◉◉◉◉ - C classed fire soulist. His fire powers are standard use. He can manipulate fire into bursts, fireballs, and large flames.
Water: ◉ x 15 - B classed water soulist. He can create and manipulate water to however he sees fit. Purifying water is also an ability B classed water soulists have. Also combined with water souls is ice as well. So he can create and manipulate water into ice projections and the like.
Earth: ◉◉◉◉◉◉◉ - C classed earth soulist. Much like the fire type soulists Cyrus can only manipulate earth by causing the ground to cave in and envelope enemies. Also he can lift weights of up to 2000 pounds.
Air: ◉ x 25 - A classed air soulist. He's capable of flight, making tornadoes, quickened speed, able to make air blades that can slice through metal. He has a general mastery over air as a whole. Lightning falls into this category as well so he can make that along with rain. Overall he's got a pretty strong affinity to weather with an A classed air soul.
Shadow: ◉ x 10 - C classed shadow soulist. He can use his shadows to listen in on conversations up to 10 feet away. Also he can use shadow veils to hide himself.
Light: ◉ x 15 - B classed light soulist. Much like with shadow souls this allows him to create veils and illusions. He can also create balls of light to illuminate dark places. His illusions are 3D and can be physically felt, however they can't cause damage to targets. His veils work in tandem with shadow souls.
Healing: ◉ x 10 - C classed healing soulist. He can heal minor cuts, damaged organs and bruises along with mending broken bones. But he can't fix missing limbs, diseases, or missing organs.

Okita Souji soul: This is basically Cyrus' strongest soul. It's a multi-purpose soul that excels in both offensive and defensive capabilities. When in use a circle of nine swords (representing the 9 captains of the shinsengumi Okita not included) appears around Cyrus and acts as a defensive barrier and also an offensive tactic in harming multiple targets. It leaves no openings and he can control all nine swords with his hands. He also gains the ability to use Mumyo-ken and Sandanzuki both techniques that were signature to Okita himself with relative ease. It materializes Okita's own swords as well for Cyrus to use, though he typically never has a need for it given his own weapons so it forms the tenth spot in the ring around him usually. Also he can fire a super charged laser from the center of the circle that can cut through most materials like metal, glass, and strong armors. Unfortunately using this soul is a heavy burden on Cyrus and his health and causes his TB to act up, which can leave him bed ridden for days, so Cyrus tries to limit its use whenever he can.

In terms of the actual illness. The TB Cyrus has isn't able to be cured nor can it be transferred to people around him. It exists solely within Cyrus as the Souji Okita soul does. It's also in one static state. Meaning it won't get better and it won't get worse. However depending on the situation that might make it act up more often than usual.

Arx Verga shard: While this isn't a soul or a prominent power with this shard Cyrus can actually fight and cleanse people of the Nox influence and disease.
Nox Verga shard: While its influence on Cyrus isn't as great as Arx's Nox's tainted influence on Cyrus gives him almost a sixth sense towards things that are inherently evil and are tainted with Nox's influence. It manifests as a painful throbbing in his chest usually.

Other souls and their abilities

These are typical souls found in objects and can be used to upgrade a person's natural ability at something.

Machine gun: It just allows rapid fire from his gun arm without a pause or cool down.
Hawk: Increases his performance and speed with his air soul but also upgrades his eyesight in his normal eye.
Metal: Allows him to manipulate and use his robotic elements easier. He can convert his arm into a gun this way. Also he can manipulate it so that a sword protrudes from his arm as well.



Each soulist has the ability to convert portions of their own soul into weapons. It's called vale hinguan and Cyrus has two of them.

Eridanus: Is a long spear with multiple branching pointed edges to it. It's shaped almost like a branching river system and it's name is derived from the constellation, Eridanus which is represented by a river.

Scutum: Is in the shape of a shield and full battle armor. It's name is derived from the constellation Scutum. It can be used as just a shield or morph into a full body armor and the shield itself splits into two to act as repelling satellites around the main body. Something akin to this.
